The Ellicott City Brain Bee is an annual neuroscience competition held at Mount Hebron High School. This competition is free to compete for all Maryland high school students and is a test of knowledge about neuroscience and the nervous system. The competition aims to motivate students to learn more about the brain and foster an interest in a career in neuroscience.

Who can compete?Students ages 14 to 19 are eligible to compete. It is entirely free to join.

What will I be tested on?All questions used in the Ellicott City and National Brain Bees will be taken from the Brain Facts Book. See the "About" page for an official PDF of the book to study.

What do I win?The first place winner will receive a cash prize and paid registration costs to the National Brain Bee.
